Goalkeeper (Thibaut Courtois)

There have been question marks about Thibaut Courtois this season but given his contract lasts until 2024, he’s viewed as a long-term investment by the club.If David de Gea ever becomes available then the Belgian might have something to worry about but for now Courtois’ position as the No.1 keeper looks reasonably safe.6

Defence (Marcelo, Ramos, Varane, Carvajal)

Real have looked frail at the back on frequent occasions this season but they still have world-class defenders among their ranks.And if anyone can galvanise them into getting their form back it’s Zidane, who is adored by everyone connected with the club having won three Champions League titles in his first stint as manager as well as a catalogue of trophies as a player for Los Blancos.Reports have emerged that Raphael Varane is considering his future in Spain with Manchester United lurking but surely the France international wouldn’t turn his back on arguably the biggest club in the world and French football legend Zidane.6

Midfield (Pogba, Casemiro, Eriksen)

Although Luka Modric won the Ballon d’Or this year, Real Madrid will be looking to find a long-term replacement for the midfielder who turns 34 this year.And it looks like Pogba can see himself playing for the Spanish giants one day and European football expert Kevin Hatchard said on talkSPORT 2 that Eriksen could also be set for a move to Spain.
