Souness admitted it would be a tall order for Liverpool because of Manchester City’s outstanding form but claimed beating Pep Guardiola’s men to the Premier League or Champions League titles is not an impossible task.Souness said:I think he [Klopp] has done a fantastic job.When you look at the recruitment, whether its him or a group of people who decide who to bring in, has been fabulous up until last summer.The brand of football excites Liverpool supporters and he himself is a passionate man. But Liverpool have to win a trophy and that decides whether hes been successful or not. Theyre not far away and I think theyre unfortunate that Manchester City are such an exceptional team.That doesnt mean they cant pip City to the Champions League or the Premier League though.I think right now hes as popular as the day he walked into the place but he will have to win something.
